FAQs

  • What kind of classes do you offer?
We offer dance classes in the following styles; ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and tap. What sets Level 8 apart is our cross training programs. We offer weight training as well as pilates influenced deep stretch classes to maximize each dancers potential.
  • How do I sign up for classes?
All families must create an online account through our system HERE. Dancers in the same family can be added into the same account. During registration, you may select classes for trial or regular enrollment for each dancer in your family. Please note a current credit/debit card is required to create an account.
  • How do I know what level to sign my dancer up for?
Our studio sets classes based off of dance skills (beginner, intermediate, advanced, etc.) rather than age. During their trial class, students are evaluated on current skill level, potential, as well as comprehension. If a teacher feels it would benefit a child’s individual needs to be placed in another class, you will be notified before registering. We are always happy to assist with scheduling the correct level for their trial classes.
  • Can we try a class before we commit?
Yes! We have two trial offers to choose from; 2 classes for $2 or 4 days of unlimited dancing for $4. Try A Class
  • How long is each class?
Each of our classes run one full hour, unless stated at sign up on the schedule.
  • What is the appropriate attire for each class?
Proper attire is listed under each class that you can see during registration as well as any necessary shoes or equipment needed. Our general guidelines require form fitted attire in all classes besides hip hop. Our ballet classes (for females) will require leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and hair in a bun (if possible). Our ballet classes (for males) will require black top, black shorts and neutral ballet shoes. All classes/style require dancers to have hair pulled back and out of their face.
  • Can I watch my dancer in class?
In order to not create further distraction, parents are advised to wait in our reception area. Both of our studios are equipped with a glass door for you to briefly view a class if necessary. For classes with dancers 7 and under we invite parents in in the last 5 minutes to witness the routine or across the floor they have been working on that day.
  • What is the Level 8 Company?
The Level 8 Company is our competitive dance program. Designed for athletes who have chosen dance as their sport and are looking to take their training to the next level. Dancers travel to regional conventions and competitions 5-6 times during our season, October - July, and train year round.
  • What team opportunities are there at Level 8?
We have two competitive companies: The Company and Junior Company. Both provide dancers with the opportunity to work with their teammates in rehearsals as well as attend competitions/conventions as a group. The Junior Company attends 2-3 events whereas the Company attends 5-6 events.
  • What is the time commitment for competition team?
The Company season begins in October and ends late June/early July after nationals. We attend 5-6 events during this time. Additionally, Company members have required classes they must attend Monday-Thursday. These classes total about 6-13 hours per week depending on which level the dancer is in. Company members have Fridays off, unless they have a solo/duo. Rehearsals take place on Saturdays.
  • What are the costs of being on a competition team?
Pricing information varies amongst team members based on how many routines/classes they are committed to. All pricing information is given prior to seasonal contract signing. Email us at info@level8dance.com for more information.
  • How does tuition work?
Tuition is generated off of cumulative weekly hours a dancer attends classes at Level 8. Tuition is paid in 12 installments that are auto debited from your card on file the 1st day of each month from August 1st to July 1st. Tuition is based on a yearly rate, paid in 12 payments and is not pro-rated. Holidays, breaks and studio closures are already calculated into your payments. Tuition is non-refundable and non transferrable once paid. Tuition is a prepayment for the month of class - there are no refunds or makeup lessons for missed classes regardless of reason. Level 8 Dance is a cashless facility and we do not accept checks or Venmo. We accept all major credit cards for payment.
  • Do you offer any discounts?
In order to give the same quality service and instruction to each client we do not currently offer any family discounts. Each dancer, even in the same family, is an individual in themselves and their dance training will be treated as such. All our pricing is based off a per dancer, cumulative hours a week rate.
  • Can i just take classes on a drop in basis?
Absolutely! We offer a drop in rate of $30 per hour. All clients, even on a drop in basis, are required to create and have an active profile with us. You can create an account with us HERE.
  • Are there any additional fees besides monthly tuition?
All active families on tuition will pay a yearly $30 registration fee (charged September 1st). Dancers are considered active if they are enrolled in a minimum of one class per month for the year. If dancers are not enrolled in any current classes, the account will become inactive and a new registration fee will be charged in order to enroll.

Tuition auto payment cancellations must be given in writing via EMAIL to info@level8dance.com 10 days prior to the 1st of the month. No refunds will be given to families prior to tuition being received.
